National Chimpanzee Observatory Network
We are excited to be partners in the construction of the first National Chimpanzee Observatory, which is being constructed by a consortium of scientists, policy-makers, and concerned citizens dedicated to creating a network of naturalistic observatories to prevent the imminent extinction of chimpanzees, as well as other apes, and will serve as a state-of-the-art educational facility and behavioral research center where scientists from around the world can observe and study these rare and important animals. (click here for video) The project will improve the lives of many chimpanzees. To learn more about our plans for the observatory (including how you can help) contact Professor Daniel J. Povinelli, at ceg@louisiana.edu.
