Paul L. Klerks - info for prospective students Are you interested in joining my lab as a M.S. or Ph.D. student? I currently have openings for new graduate students in my laboratory. We have currently several fellowships available for Ph.D. students to start in August 2009! Other funding opportunities that may be available are teaching assistantships and research assistantships. Thesis or dissertation research could focus on acclimation and adaptation to environmental stressors (including toxic metals, global warming), long-term consequences of acclimation and adaptation, detoxification, proteomics, the interplay between contaminants and benthic organisms, or other areas of mutual interests (see also my "Research Interests page ", "Publications page " and "Ongoing Research Page"). Prospective students should contact me (klerks@louisiana.edu), as identifying an advisor greatly increases an applicant's chances for acceptance into our graduate programs. See the Biology Department web page for additional information on the Biology Department graduate programs, admission information and application forms. Also, the university's web page provides information about the area (Cajun country), the campus and the university. Contact information: Dr. Paul L.
