| Solid phase microextraction (SPME) Uses coated fibers to extract and adsorb chemical compounds. After extraction, the fiber is inserted in the injection port of a GC/MS where desorption and analysis occurs. SPME is fast and simple, with detection capabilities of parts per trillion (ppt). |
